The PulseCare Medical Closed Pulse Irrigation™ system (CPI) was founded by Dr. Patrick Marasco, an American Board Certified physician, specializing in wound cleaning and care and reconstructive plastic surgery. “I wanted to find a way to relieve patient suffering while maximizing the opportunity for wound healing, says Marasco, who has treated thousands of patients with a wide variety of non-healing wounds. The result is a unique Closed Pulse Lavage / Closed Pulse Irrigation™ system, that allows patients to be treated at bedside. The system includes patented products that enable wounds to be safely sealed and isolated while they are irrigated by trained personnel. CPI™ has been proven to reduce bacteria (Biofilm) from the surface of wounds by 86.9%. Our products eliminate the possibility of contamination through aerosolization and splash back, and they enable all byproducts of wound irrigation to be safely collected and disposed.  Because the system is secure, self-contained and portable, it can be used bedside.
